On a lighter note: If you missed Will & Grace's Live Premiere
(like me, stupid@#$&#^%#4#*@idiot#*#@&!)
go here: http://www.nbc.com/nbc/Will_&_Grace/live/ Supposedly it was freaking amazing, one of the best episodes ever (not just of that show, but of all television) and you can watch either the West Coast or East Coast Versions. Do It.

For those behind in the latest Celebrity Gossip:

Even though you don't care, you like to fit in with the rest of the world at the water cooler right?

Newlyweds: Ashton and Demi have married

Brittney's baby is named: Sean Preston

Sadly, Alias fans, I do believe the rumor that Michael Vartan is leaving Alias this season is true. If only he and Garner had never dated. Sidney & Vaughn MAKE Alias.

So lately a divorce craze has taken over Hollywood and I smell a conspiracy, see a pattern?:
A list-Renee Zellweger (& Kenny)
B list-Tori Spelling
C list-Sofia Bush (& Chad Michael Murray..who star together on One Tree Hill, is there a Vaughn part 2 coming up?)
D list-Kathy Griffin

Speaking of Kathy Griffin I heart her, and hope she lands Star Jone's red carpet duties, who was recently fired from E! YAY!

Other interesting tidbits from the E! Red Carpet:

1. Star Jones had it written into her contract that Kathy Griffin was not allowed to mention her or anyone in her family during awards season. DIVA!!!!

2. Star refused to have any direct contact with Kathy during the live show hence the presence of Giuliana. DIVA!!!!

3. Star's husband Al stayed on in LA after she returned to her hosting duties on "The View". Apparently last time they were both in LA, Al used an E! limo to shuttle him around town. What he didnt know was that the limo driver had to keep a log of each stop he made. E! bosses received the list of stops and it basically was a run down of all the gay bars in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Billy states that Al will most likely get his own rental car this time around given what transpired last time. Too funny!!! I'm guessing due to this recent dicovery Big Gay AL and Star Jones will soon be on the Divorce list too.

Moving on: Martha's Apprentice show sucks. Los ratings were how do you say... Not "a good thing".

Tyra Banks show sucks. Having a doctor do a test to prove your boobs are not fake live on television does not make you the new, edgier, Oprah. Besides, isn't one show enough for her?

Somehow Jennifer Love Hewitt's show Ghost Whisper is doing really well. Raked in 11 million viewers, how?

The Trumpster is having a baby. I'm scared. The kid will be scarred.

Salt 'N Peppa reunited yesterday on Hip-Hip Honors (where they were an honoree) and had a KICK ASS performace with En Vogue. Seriously, I heart them hardcore. And I apologize to anyone who tried to get ahold of me from 8-10:00, because this is what I was watching.

Elton John has opened a new musical on Broadway. It wasn't the first thing that Elton John has ever opened on Broadway.

Speaking of Broadway, Oprah Winfrey plans on producing a musical based on “The Color Purple.” Anything CAN happen! (Have you seen her new set by the way? HUGE! But pretty)

That's about all I have for now. This is what working at the Help Desk gets you. Sitting in front of a computer for hours bored with access to the Internet. Soon the day will come when I reach the end. And for that I blame Star Jones.

I also blame Star Jones for unhappy children, rain, the rising gas prices, world hunger, AIDS in Africa, and the fact that George Bush hates black people (go Kanye!). Anyone else?

I'm sure I can think of more, but I'm getting so disgusted with Star Jones for this stuff that I need to take a break.

Who is this anonymous comment maker? Is it someone we know, and are they just making a joke? I'm really confused. Please explain ASAP.

Yea! I have a job!!

Yea for me! I have just gotten my first "real job". Well, kinda, it's a job where I actually had to fill out an application and have an interview. But now, here comes the embarrassing part...it's a pizza place. I know, I know, laugh your heart out. It's Sax's Pizza, which is inside the mall. I told myself I'm not going to get another pizza job, but what do I do...get a pizza job. When I went in for my interview, I've never seen a person so happy that I knew how to make dough, run a dough roller, and make sauce. It's kinda sad. But enough about me...Congrats to Kayla, she has an awesome job. Now, I must go study for wonderful sociology! Fun!!

Ughhh..my head is going to explode.

Or I'm going to pass out.

Why do I have to be sick and miss my favorite class. Couldn't the sore throat, headache, and mucus wait to attack me untill another day when I have classes like Human Rights, or some crap?

Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day!

I know! I just found out late today, so don't let the rest of the day go to waste! Talk Like A Pirate!

Ok, So I've Finally Took the Time to Post

Ok, Since I've finally taken the time to post, you better comment and make me feel loved by my friends. First off, Reid and Maggie where the hell have you been? I haven't talked to you guys FOREVER!! I kinda miss having those parts in my life. Without Maggie, I have no weird crazy stories to listen to and without Reid I have no one to tune out. Just kidding. By the way, if you guys want to e-mail me, just use this e-mail address instead of the old one. It's krahulikhl@unk.edu. Also, where has Steph been? Actually, I just got done talking to her and she was the one to motivate me to post. Speaking of Steph, is anyone else really confused about her going to England. I have a million questions to ask her. She really needs to post the whole story so then she won't have to indivudal tell us a million times.
Anyways, what else is new with all you guys? Do you like your classes, roommates (mine is interesting and NOT in a good way), and anything else going on in your life? Let me know. Otherwise, I really don't have much to say.

Emmy

No not Maggie's doggy. The award.

Hence, the award show is on tonight and Ellen is hosting. It should be very enjoyable. Need I even tell you to watch?

I mean...The Donald singing "Green Acres" with Meghan Mullally, and Bill Shatner signing the Star-Trek theme with an opera singer? What's not to love. Except the whole show sucking and dragging out for only have about 10 minutes worth of good footage.

And they better finally be showin some love to my girl Lauren Graham this year, otherwise I'll be going all Jackie Chan on their asses. Or my tv set, whichever.

Laundry

Question: What do you do when you want to do your laundry, all you have is 20 dollar bills, you have no money on your laundry card, and they can't break a 20 at the front desk during the weekends??? I have no idea what to do so right now my laundry is just kinda sitting until i can figure out a way to get it washed. If you have any suggestions let me know. Later.

Poll Time - Cast Your Vote!

Okay, so if you were studying abroad in London for a semester, where would you go over Spring Break: Greece or Australia.

It's a hard decision, right? I'm trying to plan out where exactly I want to go and when, while I'm overseas, and we all know how much I love Aussies (and Koala bears) but I've also been really into Mythology and Greek Culture since I was a small small child, and Athens would be amazing. Those are the 2 options because those are the most expensive of the places I wanna go, and the ones I want to stay longer in. I still plan on taking weekend trips to Spain, Italy, and of course Ireland (sorry..I'm not that interested ni Poland and France doesn't seem like my scene). Although I just now thought of Sweden...that could be very lanscapingly beautiful. I don't know.

So basically, the question is, Where do you want a post card (and/or gifts) from?

Oh. My. God.

I nearly died today in Human Rights.

Well, maybe not completely but I was definitely fighting extremely hard to stay conscious. And I failed. Have you ever been in class like that, and you're taking notes etc. and then you look back at them later and either you can't read the squiggly crap you call "writing" or none of the sentences you wrote make any sense and doesn't remotely resemble English?

Just for fun I thought I'd show you my notes from today (I swear at one point I was dreaming and talking in spanish)---I'm surprised my hand was even moving at all though.

Okay, so as a point of reference, here's my normal note taking format: Good Notes
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Bad Notes:

But look, doesn't it look like in the first box I typed "Que...something...theory" and then something like "El Salvador"? And in the second I clearly have "Yo" mixed in with some gibberish. I definitely think my subconcious was speaking spanish while I took notes/slept.

I was seriously so out of it I have no idea what the hell I was writing down. But I think those days are funny. So I'm happy to share my deleriousness with you, that way if it ever happens to you, you won't feel like such an idiot ;)

Maggie-isms

I feel like I've sufficiently done my job today by scaring the new girl. Although she handled it very well. I suspect she is a bit scary herself, and may become one of my odd new help-desk buddies. We can play bagel frisbee together (after 5:00 of course, when everyone else leaves the office). - Steph

I'm Actually Doing It.

Today I decided to start building my official "collection" (and oh yes, I say "collection" because it will be a treasure, a group of precious items, a... well...collection) of cds.

Yep. I'm no longer going to waste my time (and money) on just occassionally downloading great songs that I like and randomly burning cds, just for the time being that I wish to hear these songs, and then lose/throw them away, and do it again when I feel like listening to some of those songs months later.

Now, I will be slowly building up my collection of great music by buying the real albums, and preserving them, so that I can listen to them for the rest of my listening abilities (I think I'll go deaf before I die, it's just a feeling).

So tonight, I started with two of early (and still)greats. Willie Nelson (The Essential 2-disc set) and the Ultimate Dolly Pardon set. Why these two? I have no idea. But I was just mesmerized by them while I browsed Wal-Mart waiting for my oil change to be finished. And I do love them both. They are each amazing in their own right. PLUS I got an extra little bonus when I looked at Willie's cd after I got home. I didn't initially realize that it had a duet with Steven Tyler (AEROSMITH BABY!) and U2 (WHOO!). It also has some with Merle Haggard and Ray Charles, but I saw those before I purchased it. ANYWAYS...I am collecting treasure whilst ceasing to pirate. If that makes any sense.

Is anyone there?

Bloggy, Blog, Blog...

Aflac!

Kayla, tell us about your job. You don't necessarily have to write a song about it (although it might be nice).

UNL's Rankings on the Princeton Review

So I was browsing some categories listed in the new Princeton Review of Colleges, and UNL had been selected for a few:

Teaching Assistants Teach Too Many Upper-Level Courses
Jock Schools
Best in the Midwest

here's a link if you're bored. I don't think Weslyan (at least Nebraska's) or Webster were listed at all. Some fun categories though.

How great is this...

What Do You Call Four Bullfighters In Quicksand?

Quattro Sinko...

LMAO!! HAHAHAHAH!!! Is that not the best...I was laughing out loud, and had tears welling up in my eyes...heeeheeee! Ahhh, I love it. Is it that I'm that bored that I'm beggining to get delirious, or is it really funny?

Did I mention I'm at the Help Desk today...by myself...on a holdiday weekend when no one will call...?

By myself at the Help Desk.

and utterly bored.

I think I spent a total of 7 minutes spinning around in my chair. Good Times.

SKG

College

College life is spectacular! I've been super busy but i've also been having fun. Today was a jam-packed exciting day. First of all I went to my first "official" day of work. Pretty much i got a tour of the place and i spent 2 1/2 hrs. making copies. But it worked well, i think that'll i'll like it. The best thing is that i get $6/hr, which compared to the pool is a godsend. I have a lot of homework for Tuesday, but with my dad being home for the last time before he goes overseas i don't know when i'm going to work on it. Tonight i played a game of football, i started out a little rusty, but as the game went on i got back my groove. I ended up scoring the winning touchdown, for my 3rd or 4th touchdown of the night... it was a blast! Then after that i played some Halo then i went and watched a terrible movie and played some tetris. It was a lot of fun. It's now 3:45 am and i'm sitting here eating a roast beef sandwich and typing in the blog. I better go to bed so that i'm well rested because i'll probably have to get up for the fam. tomorrow and i don't want to be tired for the 1st Husker game tomorrow night. I'm so looking forward to the game tomorrow, playing football tonight just rejuvinated a piece inside of me that felt abandoned. Hopefully i'll talk to you all soon. But if not enjoy your weekend, and remember.... you don't have class on Monday, YAY!!!! Later.

If Gas Prices Weren't So High

I think I'd roadtrip down to Louisianna and volunteer. I could miss a week's worth of classes.

I might have to settle for donations instead though, and encourage everyone else to consider it. I know we're all poor college students, but think of the college students who have had to return home with all of their things left behind, gone. Or those who have no home to even return to. Maybe rather than going to a movie this weekend, spend $10 here instead.

Two options:

American Red Cross
http://www.redcross.org/

Americas Second Harvest
http://www.secondharvest.org

The situation is much worse than I'd ever imagined one could be in our country.
