Staple, count, lift, staple, count, lift, staple...

SO today at work (Friday's are slow) I had to staple this GIANT pile of FAQ sheets we made for idiots, so they don't call and ask us stupid frequently asked questions. Anyways, it was freaky, cause I was totally having flashbacks from stapling church announcements for confirmation hours....have any of you done that? Doesn't it just steal your soul from you, somehow when your in that little room with that lady whose name I can't remember right now, stapling from 4:00 to eternity?

Good Evening, I'm Chevy Chase...and you're not

okay, neither am I...I'm Brian Fantanna (No you're Brick)

No, I'm Steph.

Now that we got that solved, uhh, I think I am crazy. Any brief lapse I may have had into falling into the real world, working at a real job, and looking for apartments, you know dealing with responsibilty, blah blah blah...is over, and I feel my old Steph-ness returning. Which is good. Cause I think I was starting to get to boring or grown-up or something recently. I hadn't watched TV for like 2 weeks (even with my SEVERE trying (and failure) to at least tape Alias and Gilmore Girls. Some of this I may attribute to my recent picking up of editing. Haven't done it for a while, and recently with this new project, I've been spending 4-5 hours alone in a dark room, with my computer and footage again. And for those of you who know how I get when this occurs...well, you know. I start to talk to myself and get into fairly silly moods (ie: hiding under the counters from my mom with Kayla? around midnight, after demanding she bring us some chuckwagons and dr.pepper?)

Anyways, since I brought this up, there is quite an odd dream in my blog if anyone dares look. Today I was a little worried in one of my classes because the teacher started talking about our last papers (an area I feel I have been declining in, partially due to my lack of spunk, or personality, that usually finds itself in my writing). He went on to talk about how he doesn't care what other teacher's say, he's gonna say the truth, and the truth is that with every paper, there is at LEAST one that sticks out and makes them think, "How in the hell did this person get into college!?" and immediately sticks the paper at the bottom of the pile to prolong reading it. But honestly this time he was suprised because of 23 students he had 23 papers turned in ON TIME, and he found himself liking and enjoying all 23. So that relieved me. I thought I was gonna be the idiot kid. (Haha, still managing to sneak by 'em)

Erm...I don't have much else to say. Except that Mraz Journal entries are good for the soul. Whether about, chickens, stars, or why girls pluck their eyebrows, sometimes I read them and laugh, and others open my mind and make me feel all philosophical...although sometimes too much of that gets annoying (coughreidcough)and now I feel as if I need to go to Hawaii. I won't post the whole thing, but just a little excerpt that I think applies.

"What’s important right now in addition to my newfound love of wave riding,is that I am still happy, healthy, and in love with what I do, how I do it,and with whom. Were it not for my many friends, my loving family, my mysterious higher power, and the moon of course, I would just be me. And that would be all right too I guess. So life can’t suck either way. I hope you feel the same about yours. If you’re spending too much time questioning it these days, take some time for yourself to close your eyes and ears and open your mind to something new that is in fact older than we’ll ever be. It may be time you visited Hawaii."

Thank the Heavens!

Well, maybe not just yet, but I was really worried last year when I heard they were making a Miss Congeniality 2, thinking of course of how badly Legally Blonde 2 was, but I finally saw the trailer, and it looks great (either that, or I have REALLY missed Sandy Bullock and am in need of a fix). Plus, who would pass up a chance to see Regis Philbin kicked in the nose, instep, soleplex and....groin! :)

See whatcha think:

Hahah!

Dude! I totally thought you were talking about UNO the card game....it didn't hit me till you started talking about the campus...even though you even told me about your visit yesterday.

OH WELL! Big Deal! Uno is an amazing game, can I help it if it's calling out to me to play it?

meh..

The Great String Dance...

So Wed's I work with Drew who is not only in my Video Production class, but also in my group, in that class. He is a fellow Alias lover, and last week in class we were expressing our angst at the State of the Union Address that didn't allow us to see Alias. Which now that I work Wed's I didn't get to see THIS WEEKS EITHER! Which makes me angry, cause Drew got off work at 7...plenty time to get home and see Alias, while I worked until 9 and got home to discover that my tv did not tape it. Damn it all to hell! So now, today is Thurs, and I'm going to see Drew in class and I'm going to yell at him...so to passify my anger, I think I need to post another Conan animation.

String Dance...and...cut the string

I think I damaged/brainwashed Mica somehow...

because right now she's singing Since You Been Gone, and last night she came in singing Because of You, a song from Kelly Clarkson's new cd, that isn't even a single on the radio...

Oh well. This should make it easier in getting her to watch SNL this week ;)

Oh yeah, and so this post isn't a complete waste, here's some eye candy for ya:

So today at work..

(yes, this is Steph posting...I know, not the first you'd expect after seeing that title)

Anyways, we sit at computers in a row answering calls and etc, and today I at next to the shift leader Brian, who is EXACTLY LIKE ME!!! I swear he IS me...only taller, and in male form, of course. So first of all, he talks out loud while working on the computer, when he is typing in the work orders, like "oh crap, she's not gonna be very happy with that", or like, to the computer, "quit it, what are you doing? Stop that" you know things I do, which I thought was funny.

AND THEN, he started singing too, and very random songs at random moments, kinda like I do. It started with "I Want It That Way" (I think there's some wierd Backstreet Boys something going around), then later he was just quiet for a while typing, and then all the sudden he's singing, "DID YOU EVER KNOW YOU WERE MY HEEEERROOOOOO" and then "Somewhere Out There" from Fival Goes West, and finally before I left, "Hey Jude" hahahaha.

I think I now have to add a "Work-Lobster" to my list. It was too funny. And way too Steph-ly random.

Finally!

Hello Everyone!
Reid finally sent the invite to me again so I can now post entries. Ok, I so do not want to go to work tonight. Hopefully, everyone's having Superbowl parties and they DON'T want pizza. Last night I had to go down and help Tami and Marge because they were so busy. But after that I was free to go. I walked around with Charley, Maggie, Jon J, and Reid. Then the red-headed bitch in me saw that Jon Schwaderer's pick-up was in front of the bowling alley so I went in to see how he would react. Well, Carrie, Shawn, and Sharon (Larry wasn't there) all talked to me and told me to stay. They even wanted me to stay longer, but I decided that I had made one guy uncomfortable to last me a lifetime! It was great. At one point everyone was talking to me and Jon was just sitting there with his back to me. And every once in awhile I would see him trying to look at us. But that was fun. So what's up with the snow here? Is anybody as tired of winter as I am? Maybe it will turn into a blizzard and we won't have school tomorrow. But I just want winter to be over with. I can't wait to bring out the flip-flops! Talk to you guys later.

Twenty-Three

Wow, 23 hours is a really long time. But I think it was worthwhile. Let me explain, yesterday i was up 23 straight hours. But in that time span I accomplished quite a bit. I got a gold medal, i talked to quite a few speech people, i got to eat pizza, i got to walk around and hang out with my friends, i got to talk to Steph, and then through-out the last leg of the day (or the first leg of the new day) I got to talk to Will, Zane, Abby (or Abbicus), Kristen, and Ruth. It was mainly talking to Ruth, but I kinda got to talk to all of the others too. I think that makes it a very successful day. I was going to try for 24 hours, but that would have been way to long, I was struggling with 23, and this leaves me something to look forward to in the future. Thanks to all of you who helped me stay awake during the day. I hope I don't have another day that lasts that long for a while, but i'm sure glad that i didn't miss the opportunity yesterday. Thanks especially to Ruth and Steph, because they were my driving force through the last few hours. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

We Won!!

GOID won!! That makes me happy, but i know that the other OID did have a replacement and that we need more work, but that doesn't mean that i can't appreciate a win over North Platte. Anyway, today was a lot of fun, and i'm really tired. I've been up for 20 hours now, YAY!!! Anyway just want to say congrats to the rest of GOID, and let's keep it up. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

Dude! How does Jason Mraz know my soul??

Haha, sooo, while reading Mr. Mraz's latest journal entry, I noticed that he was talking about me "unless you have one of those single beds and still use star wars or little mermaid bedsheets" How the hell does he know that I still have my little Mermaid sheets on my bed! I thought only Kayla or Maggie would know that! Jason's gettin' a lil creepy lately. First with all the Mary Poppins talk, and now this!?

Oh yeah, and unrelated and slightly less creepy: Kelly Clarkson and John Fogerty are singing together at the Superbowl (right before kick-off)...that's so weird, yet cool. If you dont't know who John Fogerty is, he's the lead singer/songwriter/guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival...and if you dont know who CCR is, well, then your a dumbass.

I Put A Spell On You

WEEEEE!!! CHARLEY'S BACK!!!???

Yay!

I missed Charley.

This is true.

It might not make sense to you, but I did. Somehow knowing she was in the far-away land of Tennessee made her seem farther than Nebraska, even though literally I think Tennessee is closer to Missouri.

And Reid, you should be shot for quoting the Backstreet Boys. Is that any kind of welcome for Charley? Do you have no respect for her at all?

The proper way to welcome her is to inform her that KEANE is playing on SNL this weekend!!! Yippee!

That is all.

CHARLEY'S BACK!!!

Charley's back, ALRIGHT!

Hey, yeah
Oh my God, she's back again
Brothers, sisters, everybody sing
Gonna bring the flavor, show you how
Gotta question for you better answer now, yeah

Okay, i just thought that would be an appropriate way to follow up Steph's post. Anyway Charley is back, and as good as ever, which means we'll be able to use her for the OID!!! That made me happy. I think that i should go away sometime and see if people will even care, or they'll be happy i'm back like they were with Charley. I have a pretty busy night/afternoon planned. I'm going to go watch some wrestling then i'm going to watch some girl's basketball. It should be fun. And if the girl's basketball game gets over in time i'm probably go watch some more wrestling, we'll see how it goes. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

Steph's Song of the Day 2

Okay, so...as you all know, I feel it is my duty to keep you up with all the new ongoings in the entertainment industry, and I'm sure you've heard me mention one time or another the Backstreet Boys and their "comeback" which they are apparetnly serious about. Now, don't judge me...I'm just trying to keep you guys up with the tide. So here's their new song "Incomplete"

http://s6.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1ZZ0LUAA6VBNX1QDJH0J6V7488

Different sound than you've heard before from them, but interesting.
