GET TO SEE STEPH!!!!!

Me and Maggie are going to get to see Steph.... too bad she doens't know about it yet. Hopefully she won't mind having a couple guests for a couple of days. I hope Ruth still loves us enough to let us stay on their couch. I'm not going to put any actual plans on here, mainly because we don't have them. All i know is that it is going to be funny to be with Maggie for her first airplane trip. I hope she needs an airsick bag : P. I'm sure everything will work out great and i'm looking really forward to it. (I just hope that i'm not sick of Steph after she's here for a week ;). Talk to you all later. I'm going to be gone to KC for a few days so i'll talk to you all when i get back.

Reid

P.S. I joined a group on myspace that all the members are named Reid. It was started on June 22nd and already has 265 members, how insane is that? There are that many Reids in the world, and this is only on myspace, who would have thought? Oh, and I actually found out who it was i was named after. All i knew before was that i was named after a professional ball player my parents saw on tv. But on one of the message boards they asked why each person was named Reid, i put how i was named and someone replied saying they were named after the same player named Reid Nichols. It just blows my mind that i found out who i was named after from a message board, who would have thought? WOW, that was a long P.S.

Boredom Pains?

Right now I'm sitting in my office listening to Country Music (because I'm too lazy to get up and change the dial---OR I'm using that as my excuse subconsiously)thinking about how much I DON'T want to get my wisdom teeth pulled.

I'm pretty sure I need to schedule an appointment. Very soon. Or the thousands of dollars invested in making my teeth pretty (and making me look like a geek for the better part of Junior High and High School) will all have been for nothing. They are coming. Oh yes...the are coming. I've been having lots of headaches lately, and one on the top started to break through. There is no more putting it off. They need to be taken out. (haha, when I said that in my mind as I typed it, I thought "Taken Out!" more like mafia style than literally.

HOLY CRAP! REBA IS PLAYING! FANCY!!!! I think I'm psychic. Earlier when the DJ said they were the best Country Station of Today, I thought---unless you play Reba almost once an hour or two, then your a liar. I think secretly instead of being lazy, I've been leaving the station here purposely untill I would hear this song. It's inevitable. I knew if I listened long enough I would hear it. Now I am satisfied. Although creeped out by my own abilites. Cause when I first turned the radio on, I heard some contemporary country, and thought, hmm, they probably won't be playing much old stuff, just new songs like Faith Hill's song about being a Mississippi Girl....then like 2 seconds later that song started, and I was like--wait? (Btw, does anyone else wanna sing, "Driving my kids around 'kicking ass'?" when it comes to the "kickin' back" part?)Anyways...

Wanna know what I'm supposed to be doing?

I just went through some ginormous boxes of files, gathering info from each, and bazillion business cards to start a database of all our files on the computer. Which is intersting because right now the next card I'm supposed to be entering belongs to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Tour & Travel Account Excective. Strange, Eh?

Maybe that's a sign that Dolly will be playing soon.

Elton? A Muppet?

Well, not really, but he very well could have been one the way he was dressed when he was the guest for an episode of the Muppet Show.

Yesterday Ruth let me borrow her "(Best Of) The Muppet Show" which included an episode with Julie Andrews. It was fantabulous. I absolutely adore her after watching that (not that I didn't before, but ya know..) ;)

And Sunday I talked to Maggie whilst avoiding stepping into the Witch Trap at a Renaissance Fair. Good Times. I also saw a prostitute get hanged. I miss Ann. And the rest of you too. Lol. Off to work. - SKG Dreamworks -

Polish Days has come and gone

Polish Days are now over, it was pretty fun. But just the same as every year the Polish Days was just kinda there. Nothing over-exciting happened, but it was a place to hang out. I'll have a full post of what happened, but right now i'm really tired and have VBS tomorrow morning. And my mom needs the computer. Feel free to post on your own what happened.

And my luck just keeps getting better!

Okay, it really did for a little bit. Like a day. SO I got a job, but then the day I got the call back after the interview, Ruth blows a fuse in our apartment (by cooking corn improperly---she had it in the husk still, silk and all, and wrapped it in a wet paper towel and popped it in the microwave---who makes corn like that? That is like a personal insult to me, her roomate from NEBRASKA~the Cornhusker state!) Anyways, since I am like the boy of the apartment (doing all the repairs, painting, and moving everything-not to mention tying things down properly in a pickup), I went to find the fusebox and flip the breakers. The lights came back on but none of the outlets worked.

So no alarm clock or hair dryer or curling iron or clothes iron for Steph for my first day of work. All of which are important since my new job has me dressing like I'm going to a speech meet. (Yes, I am to wear suits and other fancy shmancy clothes everyday)So I suppose I should explain. I now work in the Sales Department for Best Western (the largest hotel chain in the world..seriously, they have one in practically EVERY country) and welcome/show around people from Bus Tours and Host Banquets and parties as well as sitting in my office in my nice suit answering phones and booking tours/banquets/parties into my little computer.

Sounds like fun yes?

Well, not really, but more fun than working in Housekeeping. Plus, I kinda like dressing up. It makes me feel like a grown up. Especially when I walk out of MY apartment to MY car in my suit, all alone out here in the big bad world. I miss Puerto Rico already. I think a certain group of graduates need to come visit me. Yes. That would be nice. I prefer that you only bring the promiscuous one if she promises to behave. Just because its a big city, doesn't necessarily mean "big money" ...if you know what I mean ;) (I kid, I kid, she can come too. She will be safe here, no one on our block even has a clothesline)

I could have died

I was about ten feet away from where i believe a lightening bolt struck. I was driving home from Jon's last night at about 1:30 in the morning. I was in my car and suddenly i see a huge flash of light. I couldn't see anything but light, then when it was dark again the power pole that was about 10 feet away, now i'm next to it shoots a ton of sparks and the power temporarily went out all around town. But i was that close where to where lightening struck. It was the craziest thing, EVER. I'm just glad that nothing happened to me. It was really, really scary. Let's hope that doens't happen again.
