Astronomers say Pluto is not a planet

PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Leading astronomers declared Thursday that Pluto is no longer a planet under historic new guidelines that downsize the solar system from nine planets to eight. Pluto has officially been demoted from planet to dwarf planet today.

Some of my favorite comments I've seen on this story:

09:49:47 corey.spring: They can have Pluto when they pry it from my cold dead hands.

11:23:31 Blindjustice4u: WHAT?!?!?! So what if pluto doesn't follow along a uniform orbit as the other planets do? Shouldn't this be a lesson in individuality?? Tell my little cousin, who gets bullied everyday, pluto isn't good enough to be a planet anymore because he's too small or because hes not enough like the other planets.

b) ann would be kicked out of bethel
c) bill and margie would not approve
d) bill and margie would not be amused by me
e) all of the above.

The Lovely Bones (Film Adaptation Coming)

Apparently it is to be directed by Peter Jackson for a 2007 release. No idea who the cast is yet, but this excites me. I love this book. A brief synopsis for those who haven't read it (or were extremely confused by Julie's serious prose piece) = Fourteen year-old girl Susie Salmon is raped, murdered and dismembered. Over the next few years, from a personalized heaven that takes the form of a high school she never lived to attend and its suburban surroundings, she watches her family and friends deal with their grief, her killer escape justice and go on to kill again and tries to reach a sense of closure herself, with the help of others with whom she becomes acquainted.

A bit different from the book, but again, I'm curious.

If you haven't read this book, I'd recommend it. Even MORE, I'd recommend "Lucky" by the same author, only a memoir. Sad yes, but more tragic (and by relation) more intriguing as it's real life.

JT has said that he wants to reinvent dance music ...Here is your first look at the new cover artwork for Justin Timberlake's new album FutureSex/LoveSounds:

In other related popstar news...

This girl is either just plain crazy/stupid...or stoned. I honestly think Kevin might be the smarter one in the relationship now.

I give you an outtake from the Brit Brit/Spederline show Chaotic. Look at how tweaky she is..what the hell?
