I like mints

they make me happy.

i think that this has been scientifically proven already, but if it's not I propose it as a theory. they really do just put people in a better mood.

go eat a mint.

(preferably in candy cane form at this time of year)

OH MY FRIGGIN SDLJFOIWEGODSOOOE~E)#$*!

Brokeback Mountain is playing at the Tivoli tonight!

I AM SOOOO GOING!!!! I just got paid today, and I am most definitely going! Woo! Yay for money!

Dude, I swear I didn't know it was coming to St. Louis, it's on a limited release and only going to like 18 cities or someother, and I swear it wasn't coming out till Jan! I thought I was gonna have to miss it from being in London already! I am so stoked right now!

I may even watch it more than once, it's playing for tonight only on 3 screens at 7, 8, and 9!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

EDIT!

Sweet! Okay, so I ran down to the Loop as soon as I got of work, and tickets went on sale at 7:00, and the 7 o'clock, 8 o'clock, and 9 o'clock shows all sold out within the hour, so they added a 11:15 and I was able to get a ticket for that one.

So then I had to choose between hanging out in the Loop till my screening orrrrrrr driving somewhere else to wait. Well, traffic is already insane in down there on a Friday night, so I figured I'll just chill here, cause by the time i get home or something I'll have to leave just to get back in time.

So I mosied on down to Vintage Vinyl. BAD IDEA! Within the half hour/hour I spent in the store these are some of the cds I had in my hand at one point (i kept putting some back, and then finding others all the while):
Sheryl Crow - (self titled sophomore album)
Sheryl Crow - The Globe Sessions
Alanis Morrisette - The Collection (limited edition)
>>this is the reason I love stores like vintage vinyl...always the best most hard to find stuff
The Corrs - Live in Dublin
Counting Crows - August & Everything After
still really really want this
Barenaked Ladies - Disc1 1991-2001
Guns 'N Roses - Greatest Hits
Aerosmith - Honkin On Bobo
>> I know I still haven't replaced mine
Aerosmith - You Gotta MoveTheir only live cd/dvd ever to be made
Back to Back - Blonde & Pat Benetar >>so sad I didn't get this one
The Eurythmics - Ultimate Collection
Green Day - American Idiot

But I was proud of myself I only ended up walking out with some great Melissa Ethridge and an international import of KC's (has a bonus disc with live performances...why is everything better overseas? damn bitches!)

Then I realized I need to get the hell outta the Loop because I will end up spending way too much money if I try to hang around and wait there....too many uber cool shops and thrift stores. Plus, even though I barred myself from Vintage Vinyl I know I would have wandered into Streetside Records >> just as bad if not worse.

Small Hinderance of Plans

Okay, so I can still go to MN for New Years, just not till the 31st.

Yeah, it sucks, we can still leave early the 31st, I just can't take off the 30th cause I found out one of my thousand Christmases landed on that date. That's what you get with last minute planning to try and find date that all of the 5 step-grandkids can attend to schedule around all their bazillion family Christmases.

If it were any other of my Christmases I would skip it just to go, but I can't cause this is the grandma that I love the most (even though she's the one not related by blood) and I about broke her heart already when I couldn't make it for Thanksgiving --she made me my own special cheeseball that I've loved since I was in 2nd grade...and I wasn't even there :( So I absolutely have to make this one.

Post Your Thoughts:

PS-Ann and Holly, kudos for Myspace ;)

New Tune

So gradually over the past few hours, the whole "Blues" melody has morphed into another similar song.

ba daba-ba bum--bum
badabada bada-bum
You told me I was everything
you wanted and more

ba daba-ba bum
so tell me what your doing now
sneaking out the back door

ba daba-ba bum
you said I stole your heart away
by looking in your eyes
I wonder now, how many times
you sold that pack 'o lies

ba daba-ba bum
If this is how you act
when you give your heart away
Well, take it back

Take it back
ba daba-da bum
Awwww, take it back

Sax Solo

New Year Plans Continued

Ok. . . So good news for Holly!! I told my boss to keep me off the schedule when the Kearney High kids don't have school. So there's a even better chance I will be able to go. Now, I still have to talk to my mom, but I think I'll be able to go. And sorry I can't offer my car! Anyone else? I know. . . Let's take the McConnell van! Hee hee!

yippee!!

Yay! I can post!! Hahahahaha...now you all are subject to my posts whenever I please....muahahhaha......Okay, so about this whole "new years in MN" thing. We really need to get on this because i'm not sure my parents will let me go unless we start to have definate plans. Oh, another bummer...i'm not sure if we can take my car either. My parents (by that I mean my mom) were freaking out because I wouldn't be the one to drive and that the driver wouldn't be on the insurance if something happened to us or something. Soooo....is there anyone else that could volunteer either driving/a car?? Maybe i'll talk her into it. Maybe we can have a game night/road trip planning party once everyone gets back to the LC. I don't know, we'll work on it! P.S. Thanks for the invite!!

Ohhhhh Celine...

I love you. You are f-ing crazy. I am laughing my ass off right now. Seriously, you have no idea. Okay, so if I thought seeing Cher dressed as Elvis for the tribute to the King at Divas Live: Las Vegas show was freaking hilarious, then this is just fantastic.

It was bad enough when she actually looked like Michael in the 80s, why bring it back again?

Smokin!

Holy crap, I just saw the hottest man on the planet! I was walking past the tv studio, and saw this perfect specimen of man with his long blonde hair pulled cleanly back into a nice ponytail, with a browner scruffy beard (not too scruffy or mountain man, it was tamed) and sparkling blue eyes.

In fact, right after I had deemed him hottest guy on the planet, I walked into the Media Center to return some crap, and when I turned around he was right behind me in line! And Mr. Hottie McHotterson actually spoke to me! He said, "Excuse Me" and then I let him pass and take his turn at the counter.

I think I died a little inside as I walked away from him....
