OH MY FRIGGIN SDLJFOIWEGODSOOOE~E)#$*!

Brokeback Mountain is playing at the Tivoli tonight!

I AM SOOOO GOING!!!! I just got paid today, and I am most definitely going! Woo! Yay for money!

Dude, I swear I didn't know it was coming to St. Louis, it's on a limited release and only going to like 18 cities or someother, and I swear it wasn't coming out till Jan! I thought I was gonna have to miss it from being in London already! I am so stoked right now!

I may even watch it more than once, it's playing for tonight only on 3 screens at 7, 8, and 9!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

EDIT!

Sweet! Okay, so I ran down to the Loop as soon as I got of work, and tickets went on sale at 7:00, and the 7 o'clock, 8 o'clock, and 9 o'clock shows all sold out within the hour, so they added a 11:15 and I was able to get a ticket for that one.

So then I had to choose between hanging out in the Loop till my screening orrrrrrr driving somewhere else to wait. Well, traffic is already insane in down there on a Friday night, so I figured I'll just chill here, cause by the time i get home or something I'll have to leave just to get back in time.

So I mosied on down to Vintage Vinyl. BAD IDEA! Within the half hour/hour I spent in the store these are some of the cds I had in my hand at one point (i kept putting some back, and then finding others all the while):
Sheryl Crow - (self titled sophomore album)
Sheryl Crow - The Globe Sessions
Alanis Morrisette - The Collection (limited edition)
>>this is the reason I love stores like vintage vinyl...always the best most hard to find stuff
The Corrs - Live in Dublin
Counting Crows - August & Everything After
still really really want this
Barenaked Ladies - Disc1 1991-2001
Guns 'N Roses - Greatest Hits
Aerosmith - Honkin On Bobo
>> I know I still haven't replaced mine
Aerosmith - You Gotta MoveTheir only live cd/dvd ever to be made
Back to Back - Blonde & Pat Benetar >>so sad I didn't get this one
The Eurythmics - Ultimate Collection
Green Day - American Idiot

But I was proud of myself I only ended up walking out with some great Melissa Ethridge and an international import of KC's (has a bonus disc with live performances...why is everything better overseas? damn bitches!)

Then I realized I need to get the hell outta the Loop because I will end up spending way too much money if I try to hang around and wait there....too many uber cool shops and thrift stores. Plus, even though I barred myself from Vintage Vinyl I know I would have wandered into Streetside Records >> just as bad if not worse.

It was really good.

I thought I'd have to leave early, cause I got a phone call from my friend who is supposed to be in London, that she's back! In Chicago, and on her way to the STL so she's gonna need me to come pick her up from the airport....which I agreed to do, but thankfully her flight got delayed, so I got to see the whole thing...bwahahahaha!

But anyways, the real part of this post. I really liked the movie. Alot less racy than I had been expecting (of course, I've seen lots of spoilers, trailers, BTS clips etc, so it wasn't as shocking to me, for the average viewer it may be), and true to what I'd been hearing the story is really the main focus of the film, even though sight of the familiar hollywood faces still sometimes wanted to pull you out of it.

Ang Lee made a beautiful picture for the story as well, much love for him, and all the actors did a good job of being true to the characters. I think after this Ledger and Gyllenhaal will have their pickings of pretty much any roles they want to play, and Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway will definitely be recieving a more diverse range of scripts sent their way.

Of course I don't want to leave out Linda Cardellini (cause I love her...c'mon, Freaks and Geeks, people) and the actress who played Ennis's daughter Alma, Kate Marra. Although their parts were smaller they still left an impression. So did Anna Faris, but mostly cause she surprised me, I had no idea she was in the film, ha.

Good Movie, Sad Story, yes...I cried. Just a little at the end. As ugly as Heath Ledger is when he cries, I couldn't help it I had to join him for a wee moment.
