I am more stupid than I even knew
Okay, so all this weekend I've been freaking out about this presentation/speech that I had to give today, and was up all last night finishing it, and at the school at 7am to rehearse it and make sure everything worked. After my teacher found me practicing (you know performing for the wall, just like the good ole days of Speech Meets) she was a little conufsed. She was like, oh...you're practicing? Great, you should well prepared then.
Yeah, so the reason she was confused is because the presentations are starting NEXT WEEK! Today was the FINAL! ....yeah, I was like, "What!? I could have sworn the presentations were first and then the final!" I mean seriously, the final is always the last 2 weeks of class. Not this week!?
Yeah, so I was pretty screwed. No studying whatsoever. Didn't have my handout that she was letting us use for reference since we'd need it on the exam (although she did give me a copy which was very generous...soo soo grateful!). And it's not even like, not really studying for a test, this was the FINAL EXAM, comprehensive of all the material we've covered all year, not just the last couple weeks.
Yeah. I'm an idiot.

Yeah, you should probably have talked to the teacher and explain your situation... maybe there's something you would be able to do to try and raise your grade.

The teacher knew about the situation and was sympathetic but she's not the kinda teacher to give grades away. And really she shouldn't have to, I mean it IS my fault. And I'm sure that if she didn't have confidence in me she would have offered something, but she thought I should do alright on the test because i'm a pretty good student in that class.
It wasn't horrible, I think I did alright, so we'll just have to see what I get. And if for some reason I did do horribly worse than usual I'm sure she'll take the circumstances into consideration. I'm actually not that worried about it.
