Ted Drewes is a fricken genious
The famous Ted Drewes Frozen Custard stand on Watson Road in St. Louis. Its landmark location on old Route 66 and unique icicle architecture are only part of the story. The outstanding desserts, including the "Concrete," draw customers from literally around the world.
Okay, so today on my way to school/work I noticed that Ted Drewes had strung lights all above the parking lot, which is mostly empty in the winter, since people are less likely to do the whole tailgating thing in the cold. And guess what they were setting up? Christmas Trees!
How genious is that? For a man/company that makes their living off Ice Cream during every part of the year except Christmas-time, to take advantage of that as well, by catering to something that is only needed during Christmas time. Great Business Decision. Plus the look of the building with the jagged frostcicle stuff still fits with the theme.
They continue to impress me.

Notice the line. Ted Drewes always has a line, even then, the dead of winter and late in the evening.
