Note to all:
Wednesdays are now my most hated day.
If it weren't for Alias, I would wish they were banished from my weeks completely.
So yes, it IS Wednesday, and I AM sitting here in my Interactive Media class...and we're "watching" trailers for playstation games on the big screen. It's been over an hour now....might sound fun to Reid, but I am in hell.

(okay, just so you get the idea, these are not fun, bright colored games, these are like, hellish, demonic, bloody games, because those are the "good ones with stories" like how this guy is stuck in this room where every fricken inch of wall, furniture, and appliance is covered in blood or rust, or like how this chick is walking around in between hell and reality, and she's on a carousel where the horses are all bleeding and etc...yeah, not cool)

Where do i sign up??!!! Sounds like an interesting class. Just forget the fact that these are video games, and imagine them being creative mini-videos. The only reason that's a bad class is because of your mindset, imagine it being something new and exciting. Maybe we'll just have to have a video game night sometime, perhaps that will increase your enjoyment of the class. As a gamer it is always a joy seeing the realistic graphics, it allows you to become immersed in the game, all you need is some understanding of gamers and what they're looking for. Keep it real. I appreciate the technical advancements in graphics, but I think its shit that when you load these games, the little backstory plays and looks all kick ass and then you get to the game, and the graphics quality is reduced 10-fold.
Plus, the particular games we were previewing are just not my style. Sure its neat that they're like Horror movies that you get to participate in, or help shape the outcome (hence the "interactive" part) but the freaking designs and stuff was about to make me sick. And I like horror movies and am not freaked out by blood and stuff normally, but some of the stuff was severely disturbing--probably because it looks so much more real than a video game used to with blood and rust covering walls, and dead bodies crawling bleeding to you, or through walls with their muscles and tendons stretching and breaking.
I would prefer even a good mystery/movie style game like Lara Croft, compared to this stuff. You can still have great graphics and storylines without the stuff these had. But then again, maybe its just Silent Hill considereing we watched like all of their series.
